Egg preservation

These are some of the most common reasons for egg freezing:

  • Age-related. Female fertility decreases with age, and the quality and quantity of eggs significantly after the age of 35. By freezing eggs at a younger age, women can preserve healthier eggs for when they are ready to start a family.
  • Medical reasons. Certain medical treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy for cancer, can damage a woman’s fertility. Egg freezing offers a way to preserve fertility before undergoing these treatments.
  • Genetic Conditions. Women with a family history of early menopause or genetic disorders might choose to freeze their eggs to ensure they have the option to have biological children later in life.
